Military life
Airmen always on the grind
Working for nothing

Outside it’s still dark
Hide eyes behind laptop screen
Desiring more sleep

Four AM wake-up
Computer room calls again
Co-worker’s bad code

gaze thru office glass
at boss and cronies laughing
wishing I was free

I see dumb people
My bosses and coworkers
Who hired morons?

In God we trusted
In satan we found friendship
One day we will reap.

Educated late
Now working hard for peanuts
Wish I’d stayed at home

tapping the keyboard
would rather watch paint drying
when do I retire?

boss can kiss my *ss
he won’t even suspect me
piss in his coffee

boss has gone away
drones freed temporarily
now we get work done
